The
Temple of Ara continually strives to create a safe space for members
and guests attending the variety of rituals and events that it
facilitates. The following document serves to create a clear understanding
of what behavior will and will not be tolerated at these events.
Conduct
yourself with respect and due courtesy for all others attending
or witnessing a Temple of Ara event. Do not act with malice or
ill will towards anyone.
Be
open, honest and fair.
Unwanted
sexual advances towards anyone attending a Temple of Ara event
is not permitted. Please remember that "no" means no.
As elsewhere, use common courtesy and good sense.
The
Temple of Ara recognizes the diverse sexual preferences, racial
and ethnic backgrounds and religious practices of those attending
its events. The Temple of Ara will not tolerate comments
or actions meant to offend or cause discomfort for other attendees
Drugs
and alcohol are not permitted at public Temple of Ara events.
Those who come to a Temple of Ara event inebriated
or under the influence of illegal substances will be asked to
leave.
Do
not interrupt the presenters of a workshop or event while they
are presenting. Please hold your questions until an appropriate
time.
If
you are assigned a part in a ritual or event, stay focused and
remember that your role is important. Keep in mind that others
have important roles also.
Please
act in accordance with common Circle etiquette. If you need to
leave a "cast" Circle, ask to be "cut" out.
At any time, if you are unsure of the proper behavior or procedure,
be sure to ask. Asking questions is the best way to learn.
If
you are physically unable to stand during an event or ritual,
or if you have a disability that requires special accomodation,
please let us know. We will try to make arrangements for you.
Those
who violate the Code of Conduct will be asked to leave. Participation
in future events may be denied or limited, at the Temple's discretion.

participation at any of its events.
