Clergy Training

The Clergy of the Temple of Ara offer services to the community, to the community of Creation, to the Divine present in ourselves, in realms of Spirit and in the world. Clergy training leads us to awaken and honor the Sacred, with truth, integrity, and love.

The Priestesses and Priests of the Temple and Tradition of Ara are teachers and guides  who share their experience, skills and wisdom with those who wish to learn and cultivate a harmonious and sacred relationship with the Divine, with Nature and with themselves.

The Temple of Ara bestows the title and recognizes the role of Priestess or Priest only for those who have successfully completed the Clergy Training course and who have demonstrated, through their actions, commitment and character, the ability to assume the responsibility to guide others on their spiritual journey and to nurture and serve the communities of the Temple of Ara.

Clergy must maintain their ongoing training, credentials and service commitments and comport themselves in conformity with their vows, the Temple’s Code of Conduct and Ethics.

Clergy Training Course

The Clergy Training course includes exclusive Advanced Seminars, is reserved for Dedicated Initiates  and lasts three years.

In the Temple and Tradition of Ara, the Clergy is a path of service to those seeking guidance on their spiritual journeys, to the community of Ara and the community of Creation, and to the Divine.

Clergy Training includes service to the community and can take on many different forms including functions within the Temple and community, and that reflect members’ unique talents, passions and offerings. The Temple of Ara has shared values, ethics and practicesbut does not require devotion to a single pantheon or definition of Divinity. The purpose of Temple’s Clergy training is not to create conformity but to cultivate both a shared sense of the Sacred and the unique experiences, magic and divine gifts that each has to offer. Each individual’s path is unique, but we are all traveling in the same Sacred landscape.

This is what we call “working clergy.”

Each year’s program includes:
